Art Exhibitions at Raffles City

I have no idea when was the exhibition being held.
But i put this folder under December's file. *Dec 2008*

It is the building of Raffles City Mall.
A big print of picture was adhered into the wall.

There is 2 cylinders with 2 different colors in front of the mall.
One is blue, the other one is red.
There's an information, what was the function of the cylinder.
So, out of the blue, we tried it out.

Then we saw those pics above.
These 3 pictures are exactly the same object.
But you can see it differently, depends on which "point-of-view" you are in.

Wonder when the malls in Indonesia can take part in such Art Exhibitions. Or, are they doing it now?

:)

Enjoy!

A Maze at Youth Park

I was going to the meeting when my eyes caught so many walls standing, crowded by people doing painting.
In a shot, i recalled how we have done the "Ayo Rek! Muralisasi Kota". I told my friend, "Can i have some shot of photographs first before we head to the meeting?". So i was taking only 2 shots. :P . It was very HOT back then.

[A Maze] (a) revolutionary art(scape) is an art installation by Central Singapore Community Development Council's High Five Youth.

In celebration with Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, we want You to express YOUR thoughts on Singapore Culture and Heritage through art. Paint something new and radical, use mix-media, or reinterpret what has been painted (no art piece is ever safe in the world of transformative art so come back every week to defend your piece!). Amateurs or professionals, all ages groups, families, and friends, welcome!

I was thinking, it was somehow, a great idea.
When you gathered all people from many classes in one accord.
I have no idea how is the progression on the spot.

I was coming over on that first day of the opening. Think of it, i may come over again to that place.
Or else, may be i would like to join the crowd, get all the dkv-ers together here to paint. :D

But i think, it's great to provide a space for people to express their feelings without any limitation of the media.
Only to express our though about one BIG theme.
And there is NO ASSURANCE that your art would stay there for long. Haha...
For me, i could not imagine what a mess could be happened in such an exhibitions.

Will update the events. *Hope i have time to go and do a bit painting there*

gbu all

LAMA GA MBENJUMAT

Temans..

kayaknya lamaaaa banget dah ga mbenJumat an...

:D

hehe..

balum ada topik yang bisa aku bahas disini, secara aku dah setaon lebih vakum di dunia pendidikan (dan juga di dunia desain) . fiuh, berharap supaya aku tidak kehilangan passion untuk mengajar dan mendesain ku.

Btw, omong2 tentang passion mengajar, i want to keep that passion alive within me. Coz, it's my life.

How to keep our passion, in teaching especially?

  1. READ A LOT!
Surely you will have a lot of information melted into your mind. Those informations will remain in our tiny brain.
  2. SHARE A LOT!
One thing that i learnt, you surely have to SHARE it! if not, those lots of information will easily fade away without any notification.
  3. DISCUSS A LOT!
If you only want to share it, it won't remain long. In order to make it "alive" within you, at least, once, discuss the topic with others. this way, you can expand your knowledge as well. Coz, u know, sometimes others will have a different point of view from yours. :)
Thus, be prepared to open your mind about any arguments or any new knowledge!
  4. WRITE THE TOPICS!
This thing! hahaha..i knew that many of us, really want to write, but seems having no time to do it.
Juz learn to do a bit writing once in a while. hope that helps us to increase our writing.
So, what are you waiting?
Grab the book, share with others, have a great discussion, and take your notes to write, and MAKE IT PUBLISHED in our NIRMANA!

hahahaaha

with ♥ and may God bless us all!,
